About The Opportunity

The North Carolina is seeking technical and basis support for SAP HANA on Suse Unix.

Job Description

  • The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking technical and basis support for SAP HANA on Suse Unix. This environment services over 12,000 users and includes instances of ECC 6.0, BI 7.0, Business Objects, CRM, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, GRC, NWCE, and PI. Technical SAP Netweaver and Suse for SAP support includes but is not limited to:
  • Installing Suse Operating systems customized for SAP on X86 and PowerPC platforms
  • Automating configuration, patching reporting and controlling environments with SMT
  • Assist the basis team to install HANA DB’s and tenants
  • Setup SUM and other SAP specific local and NFS mounted file systems
  • Act as an internal consultant with the extended team to troubleshoot complex deployment processes and eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Role responsibilities:
  • Install Suse for SAP on X86 VmWare and PowerVM virtualization platforms
  • Support and assist with HANA 2.0 DB and tenant installations
  • Create and document scripts
  • Resolve issues with the integrated software stack

Required Skills

  • SUSE or Redhat Experience Required 7 Years
  • Unix Scripting Required 7 Years
  • Automated Deployment experience Required 7 Years
  • Experience supporting large scale enterprise systems Required 7 Years
  • Ability to consult with team members to create custom solutions Required 7 Years
