The Lead Business/Project Analyst position is responsible for building and managing project plans for key initiatives for Provider Operations This role will also be defining, implementing and supporting business solutions pertaining to provider operations and related functions.

Job Description

  • The Lead Business/Project Analyst position is responsible for building and managing project plans for key initiatives for Provider Operations This role will also be defining, implementing and supporting business solutions pertaining to provider operations and related functions. This role will represent EyeMed Provider Relations Operations, requiring expert level understanding of the business processes and systems as well as all functional aspects of the systems development life cycle (SDLC). This role will define, test, and manage the business processes, requirements and functional design through implementation as well as provide ongoing operations and systems support. This role may manage/coordinate activities of other associates/consultants as needed.
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Overall project management working with cross functional teams to align workload and resources
  • Provide accurate estimates for work efforts as part of a project team. Effectively manage time and ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Drives vendor engagement related to project needs and ensures vendors readiness to support projects
  • Drives project key decisions, action items, risk/issue management with mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership and expertise for provider operations business processes and system solutions:
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to ensure business needs are met
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve provider data management capabilities
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of the EyeMed policies, processes, procedures and systems
  • Ensure proper controls and risk management plans are defined and implemented as it pertains to provider credentialing, contracting, payments, networks, quality assurance, communications, workflow and compliance Ensure all business processes and system solutions are provider constituent and associate friendly Lead cross-functional teams to understand gaps/business needs between areas delivering the best solution for all impacted
  • Define and implement service level agreements and key performance indicators related to productivity, quality and customer service. Ensure appropriate tracking, monitoring and reporting capabilities are in place.
  • Lead efforts to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business process improvements and system requirements
  • Translate stakeholder needs to high-level requirements (features) to detailed requirements (functional, informational, and non-functional). Ensure requirements are traced throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement business policies, processes and procedures
  • Create functional and report specifications including process flows, screen layouts, data elements, and business rules
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts. Document expected and actual test results. Validate the solution satisfies the business requirements.
  • Assist in development and delivery of organization change management materials including communications and training
  • Support business migration and operational readiness to ensure a positive customer/associate experience
  • Adhere to established project management and SDLC methodologies and standards

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years healthcare insurance experience required with a concentration in provider operations/management
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering functional system solutions including business process engineering, requirements management, and user acceptance testing
  • 2+ years project management experience required
  • Knowledge and Skills:
