  • THIS WILL BE A 6-MONTH CONTRACT WORKING AT THE CLEMSON UNIVERSITY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTER WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PLACEMENT.

Job Description

    DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • MONITORS, TESTS, MAINTAINS AND REPAIRS NETWORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE ELEMENTS FOR CLEMSON CCIT.
  • MONITORS CLEMSON NETWORK, SERVER, AND APPLICATION ELEMENTS, RESOLVE INCIDENTS AND SERVICE REQUESTS AND/OR CONSULT WITH THE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT TEAM FOR INCIDENT RESOLUTION. APPLIES SIMPLE STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY TO MEET AND IMPROVE NETWORK CONTROL CENTER.
  • CONFIGURE NETWORK AND SYSTEM RESOURCES, AND MAINTAIN CORRESPONDING SYSTEM RECORDS AND DOCUMENTATION. PROVIDES TIER II SUPPORT AS PER SME AGREEMENTS. PERFORMS PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING OF COMPUTER SYSTEMS. PERFORMS PRE-CONFIGURED PORT ACTIVATIONS ON NETWORK SWITCHES.
  • PREPARES AND REVIEWS DOCUMENTATION FOR USE IN OPERATIONS FOR TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE BASE. PARTICIPATES IN TRAINING AND CROSS TRAINING FOR THE TIER II. PROVIDES CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ALL INFORMATION AND/OR TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK SYSTEMS SUPPORT AREAS.
  • CONTROL NETWORK AND SYSTEM PROCESSING. RESPONDS TO CUSTOMER INQUIRIES AND ALERTS VIA EMAILS, INCOMING CALLS, AND WALK-INS. CONDUCTS ROUTINE INSPECTIONS ON EQUIPMENT AND REPORTS ANY ABNORMALITIES. OTHER OPERATIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED SUCH AS MEETINGS, PROJECT WORK, ADMINISTRATION AND FACILITIES REQUIREMENTS.
