About The Opportunity
- This position will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products.
- It\'s a Weekend shift: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm Sat/Sun
Job Description
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Drivers: Receive, Ship, Replenish product in various areas within the distribution center.
- Drivers will operate stand up Reach and Order pickers to put away, pull product from designated staging areas within the distribution center
- Client is a clean smoke-free work facility.
- Social distancing is practiced on a daily basis. Workers are asked to use their best judgment in adhering to all safety guidelines
- Compares identifying information and counts items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens boxes, creates, and other containers and prepares parcels for shipping.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Maintains inventory records.
- Operating Forklift (Standup, Reach and Sitdown).
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Skills
- Minimum Qualifications
- CANDIDATE MUST BE - Experienced with both cherry picker and reach truck as the driver will rotate between using multiple forklifts.
- Drivers hourly KPIs are up to 40 cases per hour depending on which department within the DC the driver is assigned.
- Drivers must be comfortable working from heights on the cherry picker.
- Previous standup forklift experience in a production based distribution center work environment
- Skilled at Reach Truck, Order Picker, Clamp, electric pallet jack
- Drivers must have be previously certified in forklift operation. The client does not train but does provide an forklift assessment then certifies the candidate to operate forklift equipment.
- MVR required for all drivers
- Good computer skills – (drivers navigate computers, toggle between systems, use RF scanner) QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience
- Must have a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
- Certified Forklift Operator (Certification needs to be current) COMPUTER SKILLS
- Basic PC knowledge required LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\' REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations PHYSICAL DEMANDS
